Lincoln's foray into the entry level luxury sedan market has gone through several changes over the past few years, starting with the introduction of the Zephyr in 2006 and evolving into the MKZ in 2007. In addition to the name change, Lincoln replaced the 3.0L V6 with a 3.5L unit, added a 6-speed automatic and provided the option of AWD. Now for 2010, Lincoln has given the MKZ a substantial refresh to keep pace in one of the most competitive segments. Follow the jump to see what's new for the MKZ, and check out our high-res image galleries below of official and live shots taken when we had a chance to preview the car in person last week.

Proving The 1972 Lincoln Mark IV Is The Coolest Land Yacht Ever, Two Show Up At LeMons Texas [Down On The Street Bonus Edition]

| воскресенье, 23 августа 2009 г.

One side benefit of going to a 24 Hours Of LeMons race is getting to check out the interesting machinery that drivers and spectators use as personal transportation. We've seen the Caddy Wagon, the Audi Fox wagon, and so on. Houston had an Avanti and an orange Shelby Cobra, but what really had jaws dropping was this pair of '72 Lincolns. One is owned by an MSR track employee and boasts a 500+ horsepower 460, and the other is a recent purchase by Sajeev Mehta Doctor V8, who was in town to race the Mad Cow Motorsports 240Z. Make the jump to check out the whole gallery.

Ford Making Stability Control Standard by 2009

| пятница, 10 июля 2009 г.

2007fordfusion

After word that the government may mandate standard stability control around 2010, Ford announced today that it wouldn’t have to worry about any government infractions. The company says every Ford, Lincoln and Mercury car and truck will have stability control as a standard feature by 2009. Currently, stability control is standard on mid- and full-size Ford SUVs, and will be standard on small SUVs and upcoming crossovers like the Ford Edge and Lincoln MDX MKX by the end of 2007. We’re big fans of stability control technology and expect other major automakers to follow Ford’s move.
