After all the stories of will they or wont they, it has finally happened, German car firm BMW have launched the fabulous “M” sport package for the even more fabulous BMW X5, the luxury SUV that is arguably the best SUV on the market at the moment.
One thing that potential new owners may find a bit of a let down will be the fact unlike previous incarnations of the “M” power on the 3 and 5 series, there will not be many changes to the exterior of the car, most changes will be to bolster the already luxurious interior.
So what can a potential new customer expect from the “M” sports package?
The 2008 BMW X5 M Sport Package is as it states a sports package, there will be some body changes like the introduction of body moldings, these will be finished in the same color as the body, as not to totally show them off, subtle is the key here. Wheel will be either the 19 inch or 20 inch style, and finally there will be some minor changes to the lights, so this is it for the exterior. Inside there is going to be the M steering wheel in leather, the gear shift, sports seats in fitting with the style of M sport, and there is the possibility of there being some aluminum splashed around the interior to finish it off. Finally the suspension will be changed to a more sporty set up.
