We will indeed take suggestions for the Hemmings Six Degrees of Automotive Separation Challenge, and this week’s challenge originated as a suggestion by Kit Foster a few weeks ago: How many degrees of separation do you need to connect Bugatti to Willys?
Unless, of course, Kit’s sarcasm got stuck in the tubes between his computer and ours, we can see two ways to link the two in as few as four connections and one way to link the two in two connections.
The rules, as before, are simple: A connection consists of one company owning another, merging with another or sharing another’s parts. Explain your connections, and as before, the point isn’t necessarily to do it in the least number of connections, but to do it with style and with obscure connections.
Hopefully Kit will chime in shortly to reveal his answers. We’ll reveal ours later on in the afternoon.
