Only thing is, not a single hot rodder in the group has a car that will make the trip – much less carry the whole group along with all the camping gear needed for a two week expedition. What would you and your buddies do?
With three days left until the first run of Speed Week, Malcom Whitt and his buddies decided to pool their parts, resources, and labor and build a truck that would get them there and back. The crazy contraption you see here is the result of their efforts… And yeah, they made it. It was all covered in the January, 1956 issue of Rod & Custom Magazine.
