The Concept BlueSport is a basic compact roadster unveiled at the Detroit Auto Show. It's built on a rear-wheel drive platform and powered by a mid-mounted 2.0-liter clean diesel engine. There's a healthy 180-horsepower and 260 pound feet of torque available from the four-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine. A 6-speed DSG dual clutch transmission – the most economical and agile transmission system in the world – transfers power to the rear wheels. Volkswagen says the Concept Bluesport will go 0-to-100 km/h in 6.6 seconds and hit a top speed of 226 km/h.
